ScentsandMore
Am I correct in that when melting M38 wax you heat it to 180 or 185, then add dye and FO and then pour immediately into molds?
SatinDucky
I've not used it, but a search here turned thse threads up. Might help...http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5809&highlight=m38http://www.candletech.com/cgi-local/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Discussions;action=display;num=1115242568;start=16#
ScentsandMore
it just says what to pour at, not how hot to heat it to. I didn't see the second post but it also says what to pour at. I assume you heat to about 185 and then pour between 175 and 180. Going to give it a try.
SatinDucky
As long as you heat it enough to get the FO mixed in good, but not so hot you burn it off or scorch the wax, you should be fine.
Guest ShellyRobyn
This wax gives the best results if you "simmer" it for a while. I think Carmen use to use this wax and she would heat to 225 for maybe 20 minutes and then cool to 180-185. I've found that if I heat to 185-190 and leave it while I prepare my molds or whatever (maybe 20-30 minutes) then it they turn out beautiful. This is not a very popular wax because it's a little touch at times but it's my favorite. And it better stay that way since I have about 1000 lbs. in the garage!!!
