Sharon in KY
http://www.ninthmoon.com/prod-Writer_s_Bee_Bar_-213.aspxWhat do you think? I have made body bars with almost the same ingredients and they are greasy/oily. I love them, the only oil I use and they don't is Jojoba, they use Almond. Can't say I have ever just used on my hands. Maybe my hands would soak it in faster.
Sharon in KY
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XVA2EKa better picture of the bar. Anyone seen this mold? I have some 2 oz tins I can use. Need to find some bee embossed stickers for the top of them. I have never used Lanolin, do you think Emu would work about the same?
cdesousa5
Those tins are cute!BTW they do list Jojoba in the ingredients list:Ingredients derived from nature: Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Jojoba, Lanolin, Almond Oil, Bees Wax, Gentle Vanilla/Fruit Fragrance . . . and now lavender too! mparadise
I believe there is a M&P guest soap mold that is very similar to this that I have seen on quite a few supplier websites. It may have rounded edges instead tho. You may want to check the molds at your suppliers and/or on ebay.
Wildcrafter
I would like to find this mold as well. Does anyone have any websites to post of companies who have this mold? Thanks!Ebay is too hard for me to navigate. I've tried and tried and end up being frustrated every time. Wildcrafter
Also is that a sticker on top of the tin? Guess you could have some made with your logo.I make my own labels on my computer. I'm already thinking of the label!I like that on this one:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XVA2EKThe lotion bar is wrapped. I have never liked the idea of a lotion bar in a tin without some kind of wrap. I sold them for a while this year, they sold well, but carting them back and forth from farmers market to farmers market and back, I ended up having to do a lot of "cleaning up." The inside of the tin would get yucky from them jostling around. Hmmmmm............. Ok....now I have to make them again.Brambleberry is just up the road from me. I'll see what they have for molds and then order the tins. Off I go! Edited October 8, 2009 by Wildcrafter felt like adding more.
