cocopop
Hi Everyone, I found a really clever thing being done at a flea market. People are taking glass bottles and drilling holes in the bottom to vent and are making unique Incense burners. The problem is, I have no idea how people drill holes in glass. Probably about 1/4 in. holes. Any help would be appreciated. Tia, Kim.
candlelady
http://www.ehow.com/how_4531690_drill-hole-glass-bottle.htmlIf you google your question you will come up with tons of instructions. I have written instructions, but these are the same.Use a diamond drill bit, etc....
TexasBrat
Yes, a diamond drill bit is what you need to do it. It is a pain to drill on wine bottles as they are curved and the drill bit slips. What helps a little is to put some masking tape over where you want to drill the hole and that helps to grip it. Be sure to spritz with water to keep it lubricated or the glass will get to hot. It can be done so just be patient.
