siberia
I was checking out a new supplier for beeswax and found this candle on their site:Beehive CandleIt has a spring loaded clip that automatically extinguishes the flame when it reaches a certain point. Isn't that the coolest thing? Kimberly
mbroom2005
That is cool.... Wonder how it works in real life though?? Would be interested in hearing from anyone that has one of these..
Henryk
I've never seen these exact ones, maybe the mechanism's been redesigned, but one type has been recalled:http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml05/05559.html
Grumpy Girl
I saw a design similar to this one on the recall site. The clippers didn't stop the flame or something and the entire candle became a fireball. Good in concept, but I'd be leary of it.(Looks like we were posting at the same time... lol)
siberia
That's not good. It sure looks exactly like the one in the recall. I wonder if I should pass that information on to them. I hate getting in people's business but I just might email a heads-up in this case.Kimberly
Terayne
I would definately like to be kept informed of the recall on that candle...the concept is appealing. I wonder if a 1/2 inch brass or copper chute below the flame would help any?
