In my experience, the beads.Do any of these "melt" in a hot car if placed in an organza bag on the rear view mirror? Yes, I've had beads melt in an organza bag under the seat and in the cupholder. I live in MN. Which one is just simply the better product? I didn't like the performance of the salts at all and with the melting issues I had with the beads, I ended up turning to crushed corn cob and am much happier. The scent doesn't stay quite as long as it did with the beads but I no longer worry about melting plastic. Where do you buy yours? I've always gotten my crushed cc from BCN but from what I hear you can buy it at most pet or farm supply stores and maybe even wal-mart. Aroma beads from BCN too. Just another FYI - I've bought car fresheners where they mixed the beads and the crushed cc so that's another option to try if you'd like.
