Darbla
I have some soy/paraffin blend wax I want to store in my freezer to protect it from bugs. I know the paraffin is OK for that, but what about the soy?
Stella1952
i don't know the answer to your question, but I wonder why storing it tightly wrapped in a plastic bag inside a rubbermaid container would not keep it bug-free? I live in bug heaven down here and so far have not had any insect problems. Edited August 30, 2009 by Stella1952
topofmurrayhill
Surprisingly, I've seen bugs go for soy-paraffin waxes. Still, I think I'd go with Stella's suggestion. Putting it in the freezer won't hurt it, but moisture is liable to condense on it when you take it out.
bigshoes213
I do not see why you could not keep it in the freezer. There should be a 1-800 number for the manufacter. I would just call and double check that it is ok. I actually use Ecosoya advanced soy and I keep it in the fridge because my house stays on the warm side and if I don't it is heck trying to measure the right quantity. But the freezer is a good idea and I would definitely have more room.
Stella1952
moisture is liable to condense on it when you take it outBefore I stored wax in a freezer, I would heed Top's words carefully. You do not need condensation in your wax!
