jade
I found a new soap recipe I want to try & I have avacado oil but not avacado butter. What can I sub for the avacado butter? Thanks
topofmurrayhill
I think they make avocado butter by lightly hydrogenating avocado oil. It's still pretty soft, but it has less linoleic acid and more stearic. It's unique and I don't think there's a direct sub. You can try to kinda simulate it by using avocado oil combined with some other butter. For instance, maybe 75% avocado oil and 25% shea butter.
