Candle dye Blocks

Recommended Posts

Yes, happens to me mostly with reds. Some chips are guilty of this too. You can melt the block (or a portion of it) over direct heat and then filter it before adding to the wax. It's an extra step, but typically gets rid of what won't melt.

I too have switched to liquid because of this but unfortunately the cranberry liquid dye I bought wasn't cranberry but more a violet color?? I've purchased the same color in a dye block and a liquid from a guy I've been buying from on ebay, but ened up with 2 different colors??? In any case I'll next try to mix my own liquid. Thanks for the replies!
