RXCMAS
WOW!!! THAT IS SO PRETTY!!!After our amazed viewing of Barbara AL's swirl work, and careful study her secret swirl pattern diagram :smiley2:, this was our best first attempt. Even with me watching (mmmm, breathing down Billie's neck) and trying to help, it was still a little difficult. We couldn't get the hang of placing the X's evenly over where each bar will fall. I think next time we can mark this better on the wood mold as a guide. They don't quite look like Barbara AL's, but turned out OK we think. We scented with Blue Sugar and colored with neon blue, turquoise and black. We have no idea where the turquoise went??? No snickering now, at least not in front of us. Here are the cut bars.
asheebeans
Very nice job! May I ask what kind of mold that is? I would love to find dividers like that. If they made them to fit an Upland slabbie I would be in Heaven!
Billie
DH made the mold that comes apart and lined it with very thin lexan, glued on the sides and bottom. He used a lot thicker lexan to make the dividers. No lining anymore. Yea!
cwayneu
It may not help much, but I have two postings at the end of this thread-----> ( http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75722&page=2&highlight=lexan )that explain how I made the mold, and the dividers.
