KoalaGirl
Hi everyoneJust wondering if anyone has had a problem with storing your mixed scents. Is it ok to mix say 50/50 of two different scents, put the mix in a bottle and leave it until you want to use it again or is it best to mix a fresh batch each time? Its a pain mixing scents if I only need a little.Just a bit worried that they might 'react' with each other and turn nasty. Thanks
Karen M
I have done it and the scents were fine. However a supplier once told me that it wasn't a good idea to mix scents because of the different chemical properties in each scent. But I still do it!! deb426
However a supplier once told me that it wasn't a good idea to mix scents because of the different chemical properties in each scent. That doesnt' really make sense. I would think that suppliers would frown upon us mixing our own scents. They would rather have us buy from them. But to answer the original post, I usually only mix as I use but I have stored mixed scents on occasion with no problems. Candybee
I tend to mix as I go but I do have some that I premix and leave on the shelf until I need it again. Regarding mixing oils-- just why would the 'chemicals' in the oils not mix well together??!! That advice sounds dubious to me.
Karen M
I don't know, ask the supplier that told me that. It was the lady that used to own WYW beofre she sold it to BCN!!Maybe she did not want us making our own combos, but she talked about the different properties of oils, chemicals in them, and some other serious crap I can't rememmber, any way it sounded good to me.But like I said I blend mine too, all the time, hasn't stopped me.
