Primitive soap recipe?

I was looking in the gallery and spotted Mountain Madness's primitive soaps. I never even realized there were recipes for primitive soaps. Does anyone have one they would like to share? It looks really cool. It's amazing after seeing so many recipes online, I have never run accross one for these before.

When making primitive soaps you use some of the traditional ingredients that women had in their kitchens or could go outside and harvest.

Some examples- whole oats, berries, honey, brown sugar, milk or cream, pine needles, any kind of traditional spice, any natural growing flower or ground covering, etc.

Think about a women in her homestead and what she had available and add it to your soap.

I typically do not make goat's milk soap but it was used very often as special treat for those that could afford to use the milk.

I used my standard oils but used goat's milk and added some of the items listed above. The sky is the limit.

The Cranberry & Sugar is my favorite but I also made an Orange & Clove and a Christmas Spruce....

Have fun!
