thecraftasaurus
I have a customer who has requested an odd combination (I think) and I wanted to get some feedback on here from others. She has chosen an orange candle scented with a combination of lavender and pumpkin spice scents. At first I thought she wanted the scents layered but I finally found out that she wants the two scents mixed together through the whole candle. Has anyone used this combination of scents before? I'm thinking this could smell terrible. If you have, did you use a specific measurement of each? Thanks!
deb426
You guys must have the same customer: (See this recent thread):http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83055
shantillescandlecreation
We have used that combination for a customer. dont use a real strong pumpkin though. That smells terrible. A light Pumpkin pie scent is better when mixing the two.
thecraftasaurus
Wow...that is hilarious. Sorry for the double post then!! :rolleyes2 I guess I'm going to try the 50/50 option then and see what comes of it. I sure hadn't heard of that combination before! thecraftasaurus
Alright. I made the candles. They smell like cleaning solution to me, but there is definitely pumpkin spice and lavender in there. Two part pumpkin spice, one part lavender was the magic combination that smells okay.

thecraftasaurus
I guess when I started doing "custom" candles I really opened myself up to some crazy ideas!!
Sharon in KY
I used NG's Pumpkin Pie and Lavender from Royal Aromatic and it smelled wonderful. Only made it to see what it would smell like cause another member mentioned it.
katcandlemaker
Hi its me with the crazy sister to your customer! lol Hmmm now that makes me worry. I only have Lavender from CS and its strong. I am just worried over which PP to use. I am looking for a pumpkin pie to mix among the suppliers....good to know I am not the only one who is asked to make this crazy concoction. Personally hoping this whole aromatic thing supposedly helping to enhance the love life will work....would have a house smelling like it and hubby near by!!! Hahahahaha! thecraftasaurus
I used pumpkin spice and lavender from Peak. It's not really my fragrance but I'm happy with the overall appearance and way the scent turned out. My husband came home and actually liked this one so maybe there really is something to the rumors
shantillescandlecreation
Our scents are from Lonestar candle supply and Bittercreek. I think the Pumkin and Lavender are both Lonestar.
