CareBear
I mistakenly ordered the coconut oil 92 from CF instead of my usual 76. Besides being frustrated with the box, I'm concerned what the higher level of hydrogenation will do to my soaps...since I soap with up to 75% coconut oil, this is a biggie.I have 100# of the stuff... smittenheart
I've soaped with the 92 and it works fine..its the melting point that was a little getting used to but really it worked fine..good luck..
CareBear
Yea, I believe it'll work fine - I just don't know what changes to expect in my soaps.

Scent Cellar
I use only the 92 degree coconut oil & love it. The only difference you will notice is the melting point & maybe, only maybe your soap will be harder a bit sooner than with the 76 degree but in the end the cure is the same. topofmurrayhill
I programmed my spreadsheets with slightly different fatty acid numbers for those. Don't remember my exact sources, but generally I distilled whatever COAs and product data sheets I could find and came up with an approximation.76 DegLauric 46Myristic 17Palmitic 8Stearic 3Oleic 6Linoleic 292 DegLauric 46Myristic 17Palmitic 8Stearic 9Oleic 2Linoleic
IndulgentCreations
I only use 92 now too. I got tired of the 76 getting squishy in the summer months. I never noticed a difference when I changed over.
