Oil burner oils

I've been wanting to add this to my line forever and for some reason, I have a mental block.

Yesterday, I mixed 3 fragrances 50/50 with dpg.

I've only tested 1 so far. It is cinnamon clove buds from JBN.

I put about 20 drops in my oil burner, lit the tealight and WOW!!

You could smell the fragrance almost immediately. The only thing is that it put off smoke or steam. Not sure which. Is that normal?

The burner was not too hot to touch so I was not too concerned about that and I like the fact that I only had to leave it burning for about 10 minutes. Anything more than that and the fragrance would have been overwhelming.

Any input?

I add olive oil to mine not dpg and never have smoke. The olive oil has a higher flash point. But actually sometimes I just burn them alone with no added oils....I have lamps with halogan bulbs and dimmer switches. Been using them for over 3 years now on mostly "high" and never had any bad episodes.
