tamese
I'm using a 8oz jelly jar for my candles, and in my pomegranate candle the wick seems to have a really smaller flame than any of the others. I use a 51-32-18 zinc core wick. I can't seem to smell the pomegranate at all, but the other smell great. I use the same amount of scent as in the others. Cant see why the wick and scent is fine in all the others but not the pomegranate. Any help is greatly appreciated.
chuck_35550
Not enough information here. If this is an fo that has always performed well in the past....maybe its been reformulated. The low flame indicates the wick is too small and you need to wick up on this fo. There may be a lot of vanilla or you may be using more fo than is necessary if its a strong fo. Try a different type of wick other than a zinc.
topofmurrayhill
It's totally normal for different fragrance oils to burn differently. You'll be running into that on a regular basis.Like chuck says, experiment with the wick size and/or the amount of FO until the results are satisfactory. It's just part of the process.
