:cheesy2: Hi Everyone - I am new to craftserver, there is a lot of great information here! I love making bath & body stuf and just started making cp soaps a few months ago. I found a picture of a soap that just boggles my mind how the brown outline was created. Does anyone know how this is done or what you would call this techique?

Any ideas?

Agree with E, but if you wanted to get something like that, you could spread a thick layer of soap in a mold (as if icing a cake), pour in the center, ice the top and push some of it down and then pour the very top ... only thing I can think of. Could be an amber soap too. Haven't found an amber that doesn't brown. It's a cool look, granted.

and welcome to the board!

I saw a soap similar to this..the one I saw didnt have the zigzag lines..

anywho..

the lady said she made one log, then cut it down to fit the mold..

poured more soap then placed the 1st log into the traced soap..

then top it off with the top layer after the whole log is cured..

I hope that was clear..its clear in my mind..may have not translated well to typing..
