Daves'sHomemade
I have tried about 20 or so different FO's in my Votive testings. I use 1 oz (fo) pp for all my batches. All in IGI 4794, all the same wick, temp, however different color combinations. My question is that 2 or three of these FO's seem to seep or sweat through he wax of the finished votives. This makes them wet on the outside. Is this normal as I have had this wet / oily sensation on some of the YANKMEEs after opening the shrink wrapped votive. Thoughts? Thanks, Dave
DebbieTX
Those 2 or 3 FO's that are using are too heavy for that wax then if they are seeping. Trying coming down to 0.7 or 0.8 oz per pound and see if you get seepage. You may even need to come down to 1/2 per pound on those. Even though you saw it on a Yankme candle, that doesn't mean that is correct. Seepage or FO pooling can catch on fire as that is just oil sitting there. HTH. funkymonkey66
You could also add vybar or UA to it and that will stop the weeping.
