kitchenfairy
I searched and read everything I could but couldn't find the answer so maybe someone can help me.I want to make aroma bead sachets with essential oils but I was wondering since they are so strong if I should mix them with a base oil first? Thanks in advance! LynnS
You are going the expensive way. Is there a reason for the essential oils for sachets or air fresheners. They are so much more expensive. Why not use fragrance oils??? You will need to up the price using essential oils.LynnS
kitchenfairy
I know I would have to up the price. The persons who asked about it cannot tolerate the artificial scents. Whatever their reasoning I'm just trying to see if this is possible without "burning" the poor beads with the stronger oils.
hawaiiansun
Artificial scents? LOL First time I've heard it called that.
RichardLOZ
We make crystal potpourri with the large rock salt crystals. We use only FO as we found that the EO's did not hold their fragrance well at all. We had some lime EO bags that had no smell at all after about 3 weeks, whereas the ones we do with FO have been lasting 5 - 6 weeks. Dont know if that would be the same with the beads as we cant get those over here Richard
NewOrleansLady
OH, large rock salt crystals must be gorgeous as potpourri. Never seen that offered!! Sorry to hijack....but I had the same experience with corn cobs and essential oils. Customer wanted a totally "natural" product and the scent didn't last a week. kitchenfairy
Rats. Ok, well better to ask first then spend a ton of money and time on something I can't use. Thanks!
