LeahRB
Can someone tell me are the HTP waxed wicks from one supplier the same as another supplier. Thanks MissyI have ordered them from two different suppliers, mind you they were different sizes, but they look the same and burn the same. topofmurrayhill
The wax coating and the wick tab can vary. The raw wick itself is always the same product. It's sold by the manufacturer on spools with no coating. However, the wick assembly is produced by the candlemaking supplier (if they have their own equipment) or by a larger distributor, so wick assemblies can be a different product from one supplier to another. Some people report differences in the burn. ChrisR
I learned many years ago to buy wicks from the same company only, as they don't always burn the same. I always ordered my wicks from Candlewic and in a pinch bought some LX10's from BC and they did not burn the same at all and it's a good thing I test every new batch of wicking. I never again made that mistake and stick with my one and only supplier!!
