darin
Hi All, Just joined, great site!I am lloking for some info on wax beads... I have found some beads on Beanpod website, they look great. I am a candle maker in Ireland and wondered if anyone knows how to make them? We buy soy wax in flakes!
Vicky_CO
Not efficiently. The equipment it would take to make those is pretty expensive. Even if you used some kind of mold the time involved would not make them worth the price you would have to charge. There is other way for us to come close to that type of melt. Go a little bigger and get a few blueberry or chocolate chip mold from a silicone mold maker and make them that way they would not be as small and it would still be time consuming but not as time consummingCrumbs is a good and easy way. puddin1970
I agree! the crumbs are easy and just as nice. They sell great. I have asked the same question.. the beads are neat.. but not worth the expense!!
darin
Thank you both for your replies.... what are the crumbs? over here in Ireland we are maybe just not as advanced in soy as USA!!!!
Vicky_CO
Basicly they are just wax that has been crumbed up. They look like crumbs. There are most likely dozens of way to do it but one way is to Pour you wax on to a cookie sheet and then run a fork though it as it cools it should crumble right up any large pieces can be broke up with just about anything but a small hammer would work. Nanasnecessities
Vanyulay has a ball bearing mold. It would work, didn't seem like it was all that expensive.
