lindanelson
I have been researching today for how to put a layaway plan on my website. Does anyone offer layaway on their website? The only way I see I can do it is to have customers email their order to me. Then invoice them through PayPal for the payments.I have PayPal standard shopping cart. Does anyone know how to do this?
Vicky_CO
My question would be why would you want to?Second thing have you seriously thought about the amount of fees that would be involve that would come out of your pocket. You would have separate transaction fee each time they made a payment. The percent would not be a big thing because you would have to pay those anyway. OverSoyed
You could charge a layaway fee to cover your costs.... but I think its a bad idea... unless you are charging $100.00 for your candles... I don't see anyone laying away a $5-6.00 candle.Extra Hassle! :tiptoe:
islandgirl
I must agree here about it being a bad idea.It will be more of a headache for you with fees and paperwork. What if they pay for half of their order and decide they don't want it. Will you refund them their money? Lots of CC fee's and bounced checks is what I see...:tiptoe:I could understand layaway if it were clothes or a necessity that you were selling. But Layaway for candles...If they can't afford it, they should not be buying it.I ONLY accept CC and Cash as a form of payment. To many people bouncing checks now a days...:rolleyes2
