kandlekrazy
Could be you are pouring too hot or that your fo is not mixed in well enough. I pour mine when the wax starts to get cloudy into tins. Once in a while I still need to heat gun the top. Tempering the wax also helps some.
Ring of Fire
Just hit it with a heat gun and voilà! I don't know what tempering is but I know for sure the heat gun works. It's just for looks since it's a wickless it will melt right away anyway.
Stella1952
When you say "holes," I am assuming you mean there is a depression in the middle - hope this is correct.C3 likes to cool slowly and evenly. Cooling on a rack under a large cardboard box helps the air to freely circulate around the candles while protecting from drafts, etc. I've found that C3 either needs to be poured kinda hot (I add FO at 180° & pour at 165°) or almost slushy for best results. From 150° - 130°, I have the most problems.Heatgunning is a handy tool to correct imperfections, but I have found that heatgunned tops do not have the same smooth, satiny quality as if no heat gun was employed.
