Dolphin146
I am making body sprays and for some reason mine feel oily when they first go on. After a few seconds and it goes into my skin my skin feels great. I am using 3ozs Cyclo 1oz of FO and 1oz of FCO. I was thinking of using less FCO to cut down on the oily feeling when you first spray it. Any help would be greatly apparicated.
prairieannie
Cyclo is by it's very nature a dry oil. Used by itself, I've not found it to be super oily though.. I never did use the FCO when making my body sprays. I've always just used Cyclo and FO, or the distilled water, witch hazel, and FO mix for room and linen sprays. Both mixes were awesome!! Scented
I'm surprised those three combined would give you that, so I would guess that the FCO floats on top and that's what you're getting. Maybe shake and try again. Doesn't seem like those figures would be enough to grease you up so to speak.
Dolphin146
Going to try that sented and see what happens. I really like the combo.
Scented
Hope it works for you. I've done the FCO, Cyclo and other goodies recipe and I can't get the FCO to mix without shaking it before use, but it was never oily/greasy to me. SusieQ
Maybe it's been just luck. I mix my fragrance and fco together first, then add my cyclo. So far it's blended nicely without shaking before each use.

Guest Ox_B_love
Hi i was wondering what the difference is between regular water and distilled water. When i make my sprays i use regular water and FO mix but you do have to shake it every time you spray it, however they turned out fine and have been fine so is it still okay to use regular water? Scented
Distilled water lacks the amount of minerals and additives that are added to drinking water.
Sister Kya
is it still okay to use regular water? It's OK but most formulators will prefer to use distilled. Some of the things in tap water (chlorine, minerals, sodium, etc.) can produce odd reactions and results, not to mention that the overall chemical makeup of tap water can and does change over time. Distilled water is supposed to be "cleaner" and offers more consistent results.
