Lady Di
I'm interested in making a lotion bar that does not have beeswax or soy wax in the ingredients. My testers complain that these lotion bars feel very waxy. My standard receipe is 2-2-2 (2 oz. beeswax, 2 oz. shea butter, and 2 oz. apricot kernel oil). Any ideas? Thanks! Meridith
Personally, before I tried deleting the wax, I'd lower my BW amount and see if that helps. The BW helps the bar to stay firm. You could also try it with more harder butters.
hisbeloved
How about trying candelilla wax? Maybe that would work. I dont really like the feeling that beeswax give either.
