wicking question

Recommended Posts

I have a 16 oz widemouth snowflake apothecary jar from Candles and Supplies that I want to do in bayberry and cranberry. I use ecosoya CB135. Trying to double wick. Having a hard time getting full melt pool. I have 51 and 60 cottons, large and extra large hemp core wicks. I thought 51's should work but doesn't seem to get quite a full melt. Then the 60's seem big. Have lots of htp's aroiund but haven't had much success with those in any candles. Any suggestions? could it be because they're a darker color?

If the diam of these jars are 3 1/2" then I would recommend double HTP73, 83 or 93. I would try the 83 first. I have just switched from the keepsake jars to a less expensive jar and the keepsakes are similar to the apothocary jars.
