Kayla
I havent made a candle yet. I'm just gathering enough info before my order gets here. My question is, Why do some people use wax and put in their own additives when they sell pre-blended waxes that you dont have to add anything to but UV. Is there a reason why people would prefer them?
sudsnwicks
That's a good question. You could think of it something like the difference between using a cake mix and making a cake from individual ingredients.
Scented
Mmmm because. Actually because preblended waxes are harder or impossible to get to do certain things, like mottle. Another factor is a comfort issue with my own wax and the additives I use. And preblends are sometimes dont' give the rich colors I may seek. Those are my excuses. I don't know about others lol.
