elitenaildesign
Instead of looking for a mold to fit a 2oz flat in, cant the melted lotion bar be poured directly into the tin? Just wondering if it would pop out for the consumer to use.
CareBear
Mine have a lip that curls in so no, I can't pour into the tins. I use the milky way guest molds. http://www.brambleberry.com/guestsoaps.html. The one with a bee on it is perfect - 2.25" diameter, but the ones that are 2" diameter are fine too, just maybe a tiny bit small.

CareBear
I get mine from sks (http://www.sks-bottle.com/340c/SearchIndexMetal.html).
elitenaildesign
So say I got these 2oz shallow tins that are 2"x.75" but the dimentions of the mold are exactly the same, is that going to fit? I found some snowflake molds that will work for Xmas, but I suppose I better jump up the size of the tin.
CareBear
no I don't think so. my shallow tins from SKS are a bit over 2.25". I don't have one to look at right now but I"ll try to find one to measure in a bit.
CareBear
Yep, my tins from SKS are just a hair over 2.25" in diameter. The rolled edge actually rolls to the outside but the top edge is still a tiny bit "in" though.
