All these FO's make my soaps brown, what's the solution?

Hello,

These are the FO's that currently turn my soap brown. I get them from all over so will list suppliers next to them:

Pumpkin Spice (aquariusaroma-soap.com)

Pink Sugar (soapcraft.ca) & Turkish Mocha (soapcraft.ca but it's a Brambleberry scent)

Creme Brulee & French Vanilla (voyageursoapandcandle.com)

Now I love all of these scents but my customers don't tend to buy brown soap so is there a solution to the soap not going brown? Can I add TD to the FO before mixing with the soap or is there some sort of generic stabilizer that will work with all of these scents.

Or what do you do to make your brown soaps attractive?

Bittercreek North has a vanilla stabilizer that helps with browning soap. I have used it with some testers recently and it worked really well. It does have a strong sulfur smell oob (and mine smelled a bit for a few days afterwards), but it faded and now I can smell the yummy fo!

I have use the Stabilizer from WSP and it doesn't smell plus it works great. Mine is old and I use to get it really cheap with orders several years ago.

Thanks for the tips. I'll look for a Vanilla stabilizer.

And there's also TD, cept that will lighten some colors lol.

BUT, it's the vanilla in those scents that turns them brown. Solas, now closed, used to carry the only Pink Sugar that went light tan without trying stabilizers or TD.

Or you could embrace it and take the opportunity to do a reverse swirl a/k/a a blind swirl.
