Landa
Is there anyway that you can do a CP soap and have it cure faster? Can you like put it in the oven and help it along?
TerriWV
I am pretty sure you can, I have not done it. But I think others have talked about it here. Maybe someone will jump in shortly and help you out. I think they refer to it as cpop. I don't know that it helps cure time though, I think it is to more or less force the gel. KristinesShower
I do CPOP & would be happy to help you!Preheat your oven to 170 degrees (lowest setting)Just make the soap like you normally do and pour into mold. Pop it into the oven for an hour - some people say two, but its up to you (then turn off oven) - and leave in oven overnite. Unmold and cut the next day (I like to keep it in the oven for at least 24 hours)I normally do a water discount so it is ready faster. Landa
Does that help it cure any faster?
Jeana
I thought discounting the water would make it cure faster any way. Why do the oven process if you have already discounted the water?
cindym
I discount water and cpop sometimes also, you need to cure it at least 2 weeks still but I like to cure at least a month. I have some soap that I haven't sold that are like a year old, they are slamming. so the longer the better.
KristinesShower
I like the way a gelled CP soap looks and feels, so I've always CPOP'd my batches. That way I always know I get gel, plus I don't have to use a bunch of blankets to insulate either - the oven does it for me.
