vberkesch
Hi all, Anyone have any good easy starter recipe for a new soaper for an Oatmeal, Milk and Honey CP recipe? Do use a FO, or not? Is the honey added as an extra - and you don't need to discount anything because of the honey? Thanks for your help, you are all very Soap Smart!! CareBear
I'm sorry but milk and honey are not beginner additives. Oatmeal - maybe. I really recommend you start with a basic oils + lye & water recipe and work your way up.In particular, honey is not recommended for new soapers.BUT since you ask, you can use these ingredients in any soap recipe. You simply replace some or all of the water with milk, and add the others when it works for you (I add the oatmeal when the soap is just barely emulsified, and save a bit of water out to dilute the honey and add that at about the same time).
