jennhalcyon
I am getting GREAT burns with the low smoke zincs, but I feel like the throw is a good deal better with LXs and CDs. However, wicks that aren't flamethrowers (and some that are) are dying a slow death in these 8 oz apothecaries. CD12's, LX18's...I am scared ot go any higher. Anyone have luck with J223 (7% FO), double wicked?
bugtussle
I use regular zincs and get a great throw double-wicked in 223. I think the CDs and LXs are just too big. I never had luck with low-smoke zincs. Carole
jennhalcyon
Carole, I was thinking of trying the regular zincs. I just have to get a sampler pack that has some of those in between sizes like 44-32. Where do you order your zincs from?
bugtussle
I get my 44-32's from BCN. I love the 44-28, but it's hard to find. Have been buying them from AAA Candle Supply. Carole
Scent Cellar
I agree 100% with using zinc wicks with J223.
jennhalcyon
I wish I hadn't wasted so much time wiht the low smoke zincs...I put 2 51z (all I had) in Peak's Blackberry Sage and filled the 21x18 living room, through the foyer and up the stairs in less than 30 minutes!! Big difference! I will have to look around for a supplier that carries the different sizes of 44's though, because it looks like I will need them.
