How to get lotion into bottles?

Instead of always using jars, I bought some bottles with pumps in them to put lotion in. I mixed it up with fo first- but what is the secret to getting the lotion into those small tops? I did it with a knife and it took forever. Even using a funnel wasn't that great.

I use a zip lock baggie. Pour it in, zip it shut and snip the corner. However, I still use a funnel.

I take a funnel that's a close fit. Fill it up, squeeze the bottle air out and let go - it sucks the lotion right in.

Like the other poster I use a ziplock bag, but what a good idea with the funnel and sucking the air out of the bottle.

ziplock bags were not my friend when i did it :laugh2:

i bought paper cups an pinched it at the top an poured it in .. i poured it when it was warm also so it would flow better an it worked perfectly

One for decorating cakes and the other I use for putting lotions in my bottles

It's the easy accent decorator and works like a gem!

What I've always used was:

Take the one gallon of lotion base (that's what I use) and get a screw on top with a spigot kinda like a ketchup bottle type, cut it down where the opening is bigger, squeeze 1/2 the gal of lotion into another gallon bottle. Now I have two 1/2 gals of lotion base, add FO, add colorant, shake, shake, shake with regular lotion lid, now put on spigot top and squeeze into your bottles. Only take 15 secs or less to fill an 8 oz. bullet.

If you are making lotion from scratch, pour it warm, it will set up just fine in the bottle.

ETA that I use this method: (not from scratcher..I am a baser lol)

put my 1-2 dr color in the bottle, along w/the required FO, pour CAREFULLY out of measuring cup (glass) warm (thin) lotion & / or shower gel... Apply my cap when have about 1/4 to 1/2 filled bottle and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE! then add remaining lotion / gel...

I've tried the little cookie shooter things, the ziplock trick..and the ketchup "spouter" thingy.. none of those worked for me.. However.. I've melted a few bottles (out of maybe 40-50) doing this method and having too warm liquid...
