Angel91805
Thought I might contribute something since I've learned so much from this forum....This is DH's favorite shaving soap. I was tinkering around with stability and lather and came up with this on a whim. Turns out to be the one he likes the best. I even stood and watched him shave to make sure the lather didn't disappear on his face....and it didn't! So...just thought I would give something back to the community.Shaving Soap25% Castor Oil25% Cocoa Butter25% Rice Bran Oil25% Lard1 TBSP Bentonite clay PPO at traceAloe Vera Juice subbed for waterUse lye calculator to determine lye/juice quantities. CareBear
Well, in theory you can make soap with any oil (with the appropriate lye adjustments), but in this case you will lose the dense lather that they contribute to the soap - making it more appropriate for shaving.
