Palm Feather Wax

Recommended Posts

Hi There,

I am beginning to pour my feather palm pillars. I am wondering, I read a thread about them not being one pour. My question is to those that use this wax. What temp do you pour at? Someone said they waited till it was slushy. Would this still give me a nice design on the candle? Any hints? I have made pillars from this just finding that I had to re-pour many times.

Yep it has to be hot to show the feathering pattern. As everyone else said, around 200 degrees. If you add a little stearic (2-5%) it can eliminate having to do a second pour. (It does with my feathering palm anyway) :)
