chrisasst
I have been trying LX wicks, however I am seeing the wick ashes in the melted wax. I usually use CD wicks and I don't get this with those. Is the normal for LX wicks, is it safe, what should I do?thanks
Circle
I sometimes use LX wicks from Candlewic and have never had that problem
lsbennis
I use them sometimes and I have never noticed that either!
SatinDucky
The only time I've ever seen any wick make ashes was when it was under wicked and had trouble burning properly. Those few times the ashes dissolved in the wax and didn't hurt anything. Then again, they weren't burning good so I didn't keep it going too long... SatinDucky
Have you tried a LX12? I use 4625 as well and 98% of my FO's burn best with the 12's...I don't remember trying a 14 so I can't say for that. The ashes I ran across were back when I was testing zincs.
jcristan
What kind of wax are you using? size and size diameter? are you trimming them?
