donna4909
Just finished a batch of CPOP, and I think my swirls are going to be ruined. I didn't even use the SB, but a minute after I added my Storm Watch fragrance, it started to thicken to a gel. So I glopped it into the mold, did a few passes with the chopstick, and stuck it in the oven. I'm thinking it's going to be more marbled than swirled. LovelyLathers
I hope it came out ok for you. Where was the FO from? Also you can check out fo's at the review board and you can review it if it is not already there so others know you had a problem with it. Tereasa
Did you do a water discount? What colors did you use? It may still be gorgeous with marbling, if that happens...
donna4909
Well, I unmolded, and the swirl is dead. Not even a marble. It's more like color blobs than anything. Totally my fault though. I've used this FO w/o problems before. I think I was just a little too impatient yesterday, and soaped it too hot. Been kicking myself all day over that... :rolleyes2Oh, and I used select shades to color.
deb12c
I was going to post that I had my fingers crossed for you, but I see that I am to late.I am impatient also, so I put my pot of warm oils and lye water in a bath of ice water (ice cubes and all). They cool down pretty fast.
ladysj
Sorry to hear it didn't work. One thing about soaping I've learned is not to get impatient especially when adding the lye to the oils room temp is the best.
