tootie04
Like if a CDN 10 works in something will a CD 10 work the same?? I guess I need to know are they the same or does one burn hotter than the other?? hellen
Hi,Not that I can help, but I'm following this thread also. I only use CDN's and often wonder the same thing.Cheers,Hellen
tootie04
I emailed wick-it and asked them. We will see if I get a response.I searched this and didnt find much if anything to go on either.tootie
elfcat
I think I read in a previous thread that they are not. Someone did a side by side test and found that one burned hotter than the other. I don't remember the thread or who said it, sorry!
Stella1952
I think CDNs are slightly more efficient than are CDs. I have not done a side-by-side, but I noticed that there was a BIG difference in a CD7 vs a CDN8 - shouldn't have been that much... more like it jumped two steps than one...If you are wicking something that usually takes a CD 10, try a CDN 10 and an 8. So the CDN 8 was hotter? Or was the CD 7 hotter....just trying to figure out which way it goes.tootie
Stella1952
The CDN 8 burned more efficiently than did the 7. It was almost like taking 2 steps up in size rather then only one.Keep in mind CDs & CDNs are exactly the same wicks - the only difference is the treatment applied to CDNs.
