Using Wax that is for scenting

Recommended Posts

It will affect the burn dramatically.

Wax you would typically use to make a 3" scented pillar has too high a melt point for a 3" unscented pillar. Some people try and compensate by replacing some part of the FO with mineral oil, but this doesn't produce nearly as good a result as matching the wax to the application.

As the diameter of the candle gets smaller, the melt point of the wax needs to be higher, so it might be good for a 2 inch pillar.
