Rae
I am using 4625 for the candle and the tealite. I use a CD4 for the tealite. I use the plugs when I pour so I have the hole for the tealite. My question is my tealite must be too hot and is melting the candle just enough to make it hard to get the old tealite out to put a new one in. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA! bugtussle
I have never used 4625; I use 4614, but it sounds like your wick is too large (gets too hot) & is melting wax around opening. Try making your tea lights out of a wax with lower meltpoint. You can use a smaller t-light wick & it will come out easier when it's time to replace t-light. Rae
Thanks, Carole. I have an order in at LSCS and CS, but neither of them carry the 4614. That is IGI, right? Where do you get yours. LSCS also has a wick just for tealites that I am going to see if they will add that on. Thanks so much for your continued help.Rae
bugtussle
In most lighter scents, I use LSCSs tea-light wicks. BCS carries the 4614, but your 4625 is probably ok. Just make your t-lights with a lower melt-point wax. I use 2/3 4794 & 1/3 container wax (6006.) Carole
Rae
Carole....that's the best news I have gotten in a long time. I have 4794 and, of course as you know, I have 6006. I will try mixing those. You are a real angel. I am going to look you up the next time I am in Texas!
Sharon in KY
Do you use the t-lite glass holder for your t-lite cups? Donita told me to add some Micro 180 to my wax and it would increase the melt point of the candle. And if you make a lower melt point t-lite that should take care of your problem.
