AngelaVA
Okay, I just got a brand new case of J50. I heat my jars in the oven before pouring and pour around 155-160. The problem is that my square masons are getting cracks in the wax around the sides and/or in the middle and I am also finding air pockets in some of my jars. The cracks are showing up whether or not I have a wick in the candle. I am not having these problems with my 8 oz column jars, only with the square masons (and I pour both out of the same batch). I have poured tons of jars and never had this problem before opening up this new case. Is it me, the wax, the weather? I know it's colder now, so maybe they are cooling too fast, but then why is it only my square masons that are having the problems? Any advice would be great because I have no idea what to do next. Fire and Ice
Sounds like the cooler weather is affecting your candles. Try putting them in a cooler or putting a box over them to retain heat and cool slower. It also seems like your pour pouring at a pretty low temp but I've never used this wax. I use soy wax and pour at 175-
