Curing Tarts?

Recommended Posts

I don't cure any of my stuff. When I was using soy wax I had to cure them at least 3 days to a week to get a strong throw. But with the paraffin and paraffin blends, once they'd set up, I'd burn them the next day or that same day depending on how long it takes. There really was no difference in the throw...at least not in my experience.

"SatinDucky: I don't do tarts, but I am curious... why do candles need to cure for scent throw, but not tarts? "

Well that's what I was wondering. I usually do like Fern and as soon as they're set, I'd pop one in the burner. I recently put one on that I'd had sitting in a poly pro bag for a few weeks and had originally been disappointed with. BUT...after sitting for 2 weeks I felt like it was stronger smelling. Of course, it could just be the whole candle nose thing. I was just wondering if anyone else did cure there tarts and if it made a difference.
