Alycia
i just bought some apothacary (spelling?) containers from michaels but the size wasn't on the jar . so i came home, adjusted my scale, and put water in one of the small jars and it holds 2.5 oz of water and the larger one holds 3 times that (7.5 oz). but i'm pretty sure wax and water arent the same weight (or am i wrong? i've never been good at math!). so how should i measure the amount of wax to put in the jar? by the same amount of water it held?also, what is a good wick recommendation to use in these glass jars with soy wax?and what is a good wick recommendation to use in a round metal tin (that also held 2.5 oz of water) with soy wax?thanks! topofmurrayhill
Hi Alycia. Multiply the water weight by .89 to get the wax weight.(Note to onlookers...that factor is specifically for soy. Paraffin is more like .86)Wicking for soy can vary quite a lot depending on the specific wax. Better if someone who's used the same thing answers that question.
