Faye_SC
How do you clean up CP soap to make it look pretty?Mine has been beveled with a veggie peeler, but the flat sides are rough looking, and uneven.
CBE
Get a beveler... I promise you won't be sorry. I got mine at Kangaroo Blue. It's the best investment I've ever made. Now, if I can stop slicing my fingers while beveling my soap... I'll be ok.

Roxanne
The beveller also works as a planer, and that's what you need to make the flat sides of your soap smooth. You use it to shave off very thin layers of soap to get rid of any lumps. You can also polish your soaps with a rag or paper towel and alcohol to spruce them up a bit. CareBear
I've recently discovered the joys of my thumbnail. I scrape the back of a nail along the edges to just smooth them a bit without losing any significant soap.Sometimes I polish with 91% rubbing alcohol and my daughter's old ballet tights but not often. SOAPFREAK
What I do is take an old towel and wet thoroughly and wring out but not all the water. You want some water in there so it will wash off the soap. I lay it flat on my table folded in half. I wear rubber gloves and hold the bar and swirl the side of the bar in a circular motion. Turn the soap over and do the same on the other side. When the towel gets full of soap you can keep turning the towel. The soap is nice and smooth. Oh and yeah get a planer/beveler from KB. I won't do without it. Just a hint: Rinse the top of your planer with water and pat dry with a towel and the soap just slips right through.
