birdieluvr76
I use 4794 for my melts and could not be happier. Great throw and easy to work with. I have never tried the other wax.HTH
MayFlower
Hey birdieluvrThanks for your reply. Is the 4794 you use from Aztec?
birdieluvr76
I get mine from WSP, but it is the same wax.
MayFlower
From what I've read here on the board there can be some differences from one company to another for some reason and even from one batch to another. You would think 4794 is 4794 and J223 is J223 etc. across the board.. so idk, guess its a chance and decision I have to make as Aztec is very close to me.No Shipping! lol
birdieluvr76
The batches could be different, but if the wax is from the same batch #, there should not be a difference. I myself have ordered from different batches, and not had a problem. But, that is just my exerience
MayFlower
Yes I would think at least same batch #'s would be the same. This wax thingy is driving me bonkers! lolThanks birdieluvr

CareBear
IGI waxes are all made by the same company: http://www.igiwax.com/
MayFlower
Yes I know but im pretty sure I have read here that some folks have had problems with the wax they are using not being quite the same if they order from another supplier or even sometimes with the same supplier they have always ordered from but a different batch. It doesnt make sense to me. Like I said; you would think 4794 is 4794 reguardless where it is purchased.Did I misunderstand the posts I've read? birdieluvr76
No, I don't think you misunderstood. More than 1 supplier probably had the same batch numbers. If one batch is crap, then more than 1 place can sell the bad stuff. I personally have not had bad 4794, but I guess anything is possible. For instance , if you buy a certain wax in tx, that same wax from a supplier in PA may perform differently because they are made in differnt plants.
