  1. :highfive: Thank you thank you. It does make sense to me now. Thanks all
  2. Yes I know but im pretty sure I have read here that some folks have had problems with the wax they are using not being quite the same if they order from another supplier or even sometimes with the same supplier they have always ordered from but a different batch. It doesnt make sense to me. Like I said; you would think 4794 is 4794 reguardless where it is purchased. Did I misunderstand the posts I've read?
  3. Yes I would think at least same batch #'s would be the same. This wax thingy is driving me bonkers! lol Thanks birdieluvr
  4. From what I've read here on the board there can be some differences from one company to another for some reason and even from one batch to another. You would think 4794 is 4794 and J223 is J223 etc. across the board.. so idk, guess its a chance and decision I have to make as Aztec is very close to me. No Shipping! lol
  5. Hey birdieluvr Thanks for your reply. Is the 4794 you use from Aztec?
  6. Just wondering if anyone has used these waxes and would like to share your opinion. Don't want to make a big mistake again. Will be using for tarts. Celestial votive blend from TCS and IGI4794 from Aztec TIA Sheila
  7. Auto expressions vent fresh 'Fresh Cotton' TIA
  8. Who has the best Christmas Splendor between TCS & Aztec. They both have one review on their site. Been making tarts for a year now and handed out hundreds of these things to family & friends and no one ever ask for any more but now that Im selling out, have had someone mention it to me 3 times they sure wish I wasn't giving it up and is even willing to PAY me for them. Go figure. Luckily I kept back enough supplies for myself. TIA
  9. Same here. I did a search about a month ago and didn't find anything!
  10. Yep. KWUM. Just didn't know what most people do but I guess if your in the business and have hundreds of items to make then there wouldn't be time for that.
  11. Was wondering; when cooling wax down to FO adding temp and pouring temp, does it matter or make a difference whether you cool the wax by leaving it on the heat source and reduce the temp and let it cool slowly or remove completle from heat source and allow to cool faster? Hope this isn't a dumb question but i've heard the only dumb question is the one that was never asked! Thanks for advice S
  12. Candles & Supplies have these on sale (While supplies last) and call them faceted apothecary. Are these being discontinued or something? Thanks for any replies. sp
  13. Dont buy 110# of wax even if you can get it for 1/2 price until you try it out first!
  14. This wax is suppose to be a container wax but i might try mixing another container with it. I tried the vybar and there were little specks of stuff in the wax that wouldn't mix up and i heated to 180 and stirred a lot. Never worked with vybar before so dont know if i did something wrong or not. Thanks for your help.
  15. Dont know if this supplier is close to you or not but i love "This Old House" and "Amish Harvest" from Tennessee Candle Supply
  16. Yea!! somebody finally replied to give me some pointers. Thanks soooo much Fern. Have been using 1oz FO per 1#. Haven't tried 1.5oz. Didnt even think about that. duh! Dont know how much fo this wax is suppose to hold but i will certainally try the 1.5oz. Cant hurt. If it seeps out then oh well. Its not much good as it is anyway.
  17. Ok, gonna add some vibar. Don't know if it already has any in it or not but its ready for the trash anyway. Now does anyone advise against it. Is there any danger putting too much vibar in case there has been some mixed in it? Can someone help me out?
  18. No one has specified any certain kind so i guess any is ok. Want to clearify though, they say it's the vegetable shortening and not the oil and make sure that it doesn't have butter added.
  19. Some have said that adding 1-2 oz or (1-2 TBS) of Crisco to 1lb. of wax will enhance the scent throw but it hasn't worked in my case.
  20. If i just had a little amount of this wax i would just ditch it but i bought 55# because (supposedly) got a good deal on it because it was a busted box. (luck me)! Anyway, doesn't seem anyone knows anything about this wax so wanting to know if there may be something i can add to it to help with my problem or just ditch it anyway? It is a container wax and the following info is on the MSDS Product Name is:500CB and also (052CB or 052VM) Other/Generic Name is: Modified Paraffin Wax. Don't know how it was MODIFIED. Manufacturer: Honeywell The problem is scent throw is not that good and it doesn't last but only about 2-4 hrs. (depending on FO's used) and yes i have left the house for a reasonable amount of time. I have used what i though to be some good FO's from Tennessee Candle Supply, Aztec. Have used Fo's: White Tea & Ginger, Butt Naked, Love Spell, Birthday Cake, Amish Harvest, This Old House etc. just to name a few. Am using this for melts in case that info is needed. Can anyone help me please? Thanks to all BTW- also tried the Crisco trick.
  21. I really love TCS's Amish Harvest and This Old House. I haven't compared it to others but to me it's fab. sp
