brempel
Good Morning,I am wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of wax is needed to make candles with the snowflake looking ;)finishbr
izzy2
For containers a mottling wax is IGI 1286. I don't know much about the mottling wax for pillars but I do know that 1343 will mottle (depends on the additives I believe). HTH.
LynnS
Not sure if what you are talking about but my tarts have a starburst effect to me. People tell me they are different from what they see all the time.It is a 100% soy pillar blend.Just went to the basement to look for a number or something and out of it.I must get more but for now I am well stocked for tarts.LynnSWill check on this but not sure this is what you are talking about. Vio
I don't know what's the product in this stuff, but yaley sells a snowflake oil that you add to wax. http://www.yaley.com/candles/additives.htmlNo idea if that's a good price or not, just found it in a google search. kimmeroo
All that stuff at Yaley is mineral oil! That's what is added to straight paraffin for mottling. I can't remeber how much! I buy my wax w/it already in it. HTH... Kimmeroo:)
