Sndfrddy
Hi, I purchased a bad batch of 6006 wax this past summer. Just could not get it wicked right no matter what I kept trying.Wick kept drowning out. It was brought to my attention that it may be a bad batch. A fellow candletech member was kind enough to send me some of an old batch to try and it wicked and burned beautiful right away. Using wicks that wouldn't work with the wax I bought. So, it had to have been a bad batch. Has anyone recently bought 6006 wax that is familiar with it and has used it for some time and would recognize right away if it was a bad batch and has gotten a good batch? If you have where was it purchased and what is the batch number please? I really appreciate the info if you're willing to share. I don't know what my bad batch number was. I didn't keep the box from the case assumming it was okay. It was purchased at BCN. I contacted them about it but never heard back. Thanks again!Sandra
Mountain_Annie
Uhmm.,...what good would it do to know the "bad" batch # if you do not know YOUR batch #? LOL Just curious. Did you ever find out more about it?I just purchased some off the classys and I'm really hoping that it isn't a 'bad batch'. bugtussle
Rae emaled me & said she just bought 6 cases of 6006 from CS, all from the same batch. Check with her in a few days & she should have it tested. I still have some of my pallet. Carole
bugtussle
Mt Anne, I posted the bad batch #s. Search for my post. Sndfrdy had a bad batch for sure, but I have heard the new batches are OK. Carole
Luci
I pretty much gave up on container candles altogether after the frustration of trying to wick 6006.
Sndfrddy
Just after Christmas I bought a case from CS and it's a good batch. Very easy to wick. Great burn.
bugtussle
Sorry, this was an old thread I posted to. I need to pay more attention. Carole
Mountain_Annie
Thanks so much for your replies! The 6006 arrived so I'll see how it performs soon. It was from candlesience originally. Where would the batch # be located? It has a label with a barcode....and the original shipping label from candlescience.
bugtussle
If you bought a slab, it will not have a batch# on it. If it's a case, the batch # is on the end with the name/product # of the wax. Carole
