I was just looking over the recipe that I used and realized that I forgot the mango!!!. The recipe called for 4.8 ounces. Can i melt the mango and rebatch.... Please say yes!!! Your'e a Godsend. My first 5lb soap batch and I screwed up big time. Thanks Lisa
eugenia
Yes. You have many rebatch choices to read up on. Oven, crockpot, double boiler, microwave, and boiling bag off the top of my head. Boiling bag gets me the smoothest results.Grate the soap and add nothing but the melted mango.e
littysmom
Ok, I just grated my kunckles off. I'd like to try the boiling bag method. Do you think I can use a garbage bag and tie it off ?? You would'nt believe the mound of shredded soap that I have sitting here. Maybe I could fill some large freezer zip-lock bags fill them up with soap, wait till that softens and smoothes. Pour into a large bowl and add the mango ? eugenia
Garbage bag will melt. So will a zip lock. If you have food sealer bags meant for boiling, they should work.
littysmom
I'm sorry for sounding like a big damn dumby. Maybe I am, but one things for sure I'll know what to do the next time. I have rebatched before with 2 lb batches using the microwave., but this time the microwave is just not big enough. I got out the foodsaver and made a huge bag. Tis now in my big crab pot. Won't be long now. Once again thanks for the help.
