Stella1952 Posted November 17, 2007 Share Posted November 17, 2007 I dunno about palm stearin, but if these are hand-dipped palm wax, the surface will not only be grainy, it will develop little "boogers" which grow into warts with every dip. We made a dozen hand-dipped palm wax tapers and although they burned very nicely, they are the drippiest tapers I have ever seen! Pretty, but messy! They were quite unattractive before burning. I'm not quite sure what he meant by saying they should have a grainy almost porous surface - is this what you've experienced with the palm wax? I'll have to check back with him. WaxMunky Posted November 17, 2007 Share Posted November 17, 2007 Hi,I made some Palm Wax Tapers not to long ago,Not too sure if this is what your customer is looking for.I have to admit,they burn terrible.Looks pretty unlit.smell good as well.But I found burning them they went up like a torch,and had no scent throw.. Burners beware..The tapers are from left to right..Using a Taper Mold. Chunked,Solid peach, Green Iced,Solid Cranberry,Last two sets are Blacked Iced as wellMunky.
