SusieQ
I don't make candles!! But, I want to experiment making wicklesscandles for Christmas gifts. Can I use paraffin wax from Hobby Lobbyto do this? If so, do I need to add anything else to it, and how much? Thanks
gingerinarkansas
Make sure it's container wax or it will pull away from the sides and make a fugally candle when it burns. Ginger
dabbledoya
You could try to search a supplier close to where you live and just buy a 10# slab of wax. Do you already have containers picked out to do this? If not, tins would probably be the cheapest as far as shipping goes.I agree with Ginger--using a container wax would be best, I think, because with most (if not all?) of them you do not have to use additives. With all that said, don't forget to test first;)
HeavenScentU
If it is going to be your first time. I would try the candlemaking kit and just don't put the wick in it.
